All Jaguar engines showcase the latest engineering technologies. High-pressure direct fuel injection maximizes air/fuel mixing for optimal power and efficiency. Variable Camshaft Timing eliminates the compromise between low-speed torque and high-RPM power, while helping to reduce emissions and increase fuel economy. And turbocharging and supercharging ensure signature Jaguar performance, regardless of engine size.
- New 2.0 Liter Turbocharged Jaguar Inline Four
Standard on the 2013 XF 2.0T, the new Jaguar 2.0 liter turbocharged i4 delivers increased fuel economy, but still retains the expected response of a Jaguar engine. The turbocharger has an advanced low-inertia design that spins up quickly for satisfying response off idle. With 240 horsepower and 251 pound-feet of torque, this all-new engine produces the kind of power that was typical of small V8s just a few years ago.
- 240 hp
- 30 mpg Highway*
- ZF® eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission
- New Supercharged Jaguar V6
Drawing on key technologies used in the Jaguar V8, the new supercharged 3.0 liter Jaguar V6 offers eight-cylinder-like performance but with enhanced efficiency. This 340 horsepower V6 uses a high 10.5:1 compression ratio – something unheard of in supercharged engines just a few years ago. The engine also features counter-rotating front and rear balancer weights for smoothness and refinement befitting a Jaguar car.
- Standard on F-TYPE, XJ and AWD models; available on XF
- 340 hp
- Sixth-generation Eaton® supercharger
- ZF® eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission
- Fuel-saving stop/start technology
- The Jaguar V8 and Supercharged V8
Designed entirely in-house, the Jaguar 5.0 liter V8 showcases advanced technologies that optimize power and efficiency while reducing exhaust emissions. On the supercharged V8 models, a sixth-generation Eaton® twin-vortex supercharger delivers a considerable power boost with optimized air intakes and rotor geometry designed for improved efficiency with reduced noise and vibration. A new 8-speed transmission also helps increase fuel efficiency in V8 models on F-TYPE, XF and XJ.
- Standard on XK; available on F-TYPE, XF and XJ models
- 385 hp naturally aspirated V8 on XK and XK Touring
- 470, 495 or 510 hp V8s with Sixth-generation Eaton® supercharger
- ZF® eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission on F-TYPE, XF and XJ
- ZF® six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission on XK
